The Challenge
More Than Just a Small, Private Liberal Arts College
Grace College is a Christian institution that prepares students for a future where they are empowered to use their education and talents to positively impact their community and the world. Although listed in guidebooks as a small, private liberal arts college, that tidy categorization did not even begin to scratch the surface of all that Grace College offers — which is why they reached out to Harmony.
The Chief Marketing Officer, Matt Metzger, for Grace College wanted prospective students to be able to visualize the amazing opportunities the college offers. “We are blessed to have a beautiful 180-acre campus that supports seven schools of study, and more than 100 academic programs that equip students with a Christ-centered worldview. Our students leave here with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in whatever vocation God has called them to, and that’s a message we needed to share,” said Matt.
The Solution
Not Another Boring Pamphlet
The college marketplace is a highly competitive arena in which the majority of institutions flood prospective students with tri-fold pamphlets. When Matt first reached out to Harmony, he knew he wanted a different approach.
Giving Students Something to Think About
Harmony had the perfect solution, a Grace College View Book. Unlike the boring tri-fold pamphlets that most colleges send, the View Book would:
- Bring the college to life in vivid, full-color detail, showcasing its opportunities in an immersive way
- Ensure students kept it near and referred to it often by making it double as a journal
- Work in tandem with the school’s digital campaigns to keep prospective students engaged


The Results
Grace College Enjoys Annual Increases in Enrollment
“We have seen a steady increase in student enrollment since we first began publishing the View Book seven years ago. Many of our students have shared that they love using it as their journal, too,” said Matt. He also said Grace College has benefited from Harmony’s high-tech Enhanced Response program, which the college uses to match the IP addresses of website visitors to their physical address and send a personalized postcard to them automatically.
Harmony Helps with Student Swag, Stationery and More
Thanks to the overwhelming success of the View Book, Grace College has used Harmony for several other projects, including a variety of promotional items students love, like stickers, cups, and beautiful wire-bound spiral notebooks that are ideal for prospecting. In addition, Harmony created the college’s elegant letterhead and business cards. “I love Harmony. Grace College continues to partner with Harmony for their printing and data needs, working together on weekly data feeds and mailings for ongoing admissions and collateral.
